1982 Sunsplash

Reggae live in Jerrett Park, Montego Bay.

In 1982, Lion and Fox was fortunate to oversee and engineer the audio recording of the 1982 Reggae Sunsplash Festival. Artisan Recorder's location truck of Pampano Beach Florida was flown in to Montego Bay and set up in Jerrett Park. In the 4 days, 54 rolls of 2" 24trk tape were recorded. The same 24trk recordings were used for the live video also shot at the show. Synchronization was maintained via SMPTE time code, fed from the video truck. These albums are a few of the releases from that very special and memorable show.
