  • December 19, 1996New computers: Dell P200 and Mac Power PC. New DAT machines: Sony 2600 and two Panasonic 3800. 10 additional GB of hard drive space. Software: CDROM authoring, internet tools, computer utilities.
  • October 1996The company purchased a Telos Zephyr codec, which provides real-time digital transmission, over ISDN, of FM quality audio. As an affiliate of EDNet, Lion & Fox can now connect to any studio in the world with a codec.
  • May 10, 1995To solve the problem of transporting large audio, data, and graphics files outside the computer network, the company purchased three Iomega Jaz external drives which use 1Gigabyte cartridges. These drives are as fast as fixed hard drives and provide unlimited storage space for digital audio and multimedia.
  • December 15, 1995-Lion & Fox has added the capability to instantly transmit and recieve radio spots through DG Systems of San Francisco, CA. Especially important for political ad campaigns, the system's digital transmission to radio stations nationwide can get spots on the air quickly, (within one hour) economically, and with higher quality than ever before. DG's computer system and L&F's ISDN capability are combined to transmit and recieve the spots at 48K/16 bit digital. (CD quality)
  • September 5, 1995-Lion and Fox has installed another digital recording/editing system with the SADiE Disk Editor from Studio Audio and Video Limited. The system, online in Control Room A, utilizes a 4 Gig hard drive and 8mm Exabyte backup. Along with its fast, non-destructive graphic editing, the SADiE is interfaced with a Yamaha CD Expert CD printer to create PMCDs, and one-off CDs. The Exabyte produces DDP CD premasters.
  • August 1, 1995-Another Roland DM-80 8 track hard disk recorder/editor has been added to Lion and Fox's equipment list. The system is on line in Control Room C, has 4 Gig of storage and a 1.8 Gig 4mm backup.
  • May 1, 1995-Lion and Fox has increased its digital audio capability with the addition of a MAC Power PC running Digidesign Soundtools and Masterlist CD. The system carries 4 Gig of disk storage, 8 mm Exabyte backup, and the Yamaha CD Expert CD printer.
